Dirty Hippies is proud to work with CALM - the Campaign Against Living Miserably.
CALM is a mental health charity with a difference:
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male.
CALM exists to change this.
Male suicide is something that has affected the founders of Dirty Hippies personally. And mental health is something that affects us all.
As we grow our business we will use the following roadmap to increase our involvement and impact with CALM:
1. Promotion. Share their brand and help spread the message.
2. Volunteering with CALM at events. This has been postponed by the charity due to the pandemic, but we will begin as soon as they offer the opportunity, giving our employees time out of their week to support this.
3. Financial support. We will be really transparent here: as a new business this stage can only come when we ourselves have built a profitable and sustainable business. Once we reach certain milestones we will “switch on” this support, and publicly declare the % of net profit we have donated each year.
