Our Ravishing Reds collection of seeds
The importance of eating RED
Red fruit & veg provide a number of beneficial properties - high in the antioxidants to help protect against infections, and the anthocyanins and betalains are thought to aid the relaxation of blood vessels and contribute to improving blood pressure.
Why are some fruits and veggies red?
Anthocyanin, a natural red pigment, gives red veggies their vibrant colour, which absorbs green and yellow light. Seedlings with red leaves often do so to help protect them from sun damage.
